Even though Smarts (NTs) have the big picture brains, we wager their logic is going to see the utilitarian problem of under functioning underwear and will take care of this problem before a hole can fester. This of course will also hold even more true for Classic Structures (STJs) who will see the dirty details before anyone else and judge themselves and anyone else most harsh. 

So when is it time to say good bye? Holes, rips and torn elastic. Especially if you got them at the drug store. If we’re talking dainty and expensive, then maybe you can attempt a repair, but only if you’ve spent double digits and even then, if the elastic’s gone then it’s time to say goodbye. And if every single pair is stained then maybe it’s time to pony up and buy a few new pairs. Oh and it goes without saying, except it doesn’t — if they don’t fit? Chuck them out. If you lose weight the first thing you should do is buy some new knickers for your new bod.
