In Defense of Fun Freedom Types (ESFP and ISFP)

If you fall into this category then you should rejoice, as should everyone who knows you! There is nothing better than being a Fun Freedom, right? Known as fun loving and perfect companions, Fun Freedoms are value based subjective decision makers that care about how other people feel. Like the other Pixie Types, they might either be more introverted or extroverted which leads to a difference in whether they open up enthusiastically and with abandon to those they meet.

According to psychologyjunkie.com, the Fun Freedoms fall into the category of adventurers. We, at Pixies Did It, tend to think of them as organized chaos that is completely capable of always coming out on top.

Fun Freedoms in Careers

CNBC lists this as one of the only two Pixie types in which the introvert makes more than the extroverts, on average, but just by a small margin. However, neither tend to be part of the highest income brackets in spite of their charm and likeability. On the other hand the introverts have the highest unemployment of any other personality and the extroverts are well above average. ESFPs tend to excel in school when they focus on geology, marine biology and pathology. ISFPs excel with a focus on foreign languages, healthcare and education. Despite that education, the ISFPs do well as jewelers and ESFPs make the best bartenders. The mystery, though, is in those unemployment rates, however, because both skills are high demand and easy to find work. For the extrovert it is entirely possible that the unemployment is self induced by wanderlust and usually short-lived.

Fun Freedom Personalities

The fun loving Fun Freedom extroverts are truly the party people of the world. They are generally speaking very accepting of others and very open to differences. They love people of all kinds and have huge social networks. They are also incredibly compassionate and empathetic, open and funny. These are genuine people with a “go with the flow” attitude and they make for great friends. (Source). However, they can sometimes come across as flighty and shallow to others, overly concerned with appearances. The introverted Fun Freedoms, on the other hand, make for best friends like no other. They are sensitive and warm and fun with a passion for life and build deep bonds and connections. They are also very authentic and supportive of the people in their lives, which is a great thing to have in a person you have a relationship with. (Source). They may not be the life of the party like the extroverts are, but they will sit with you in the corner of the room at that party and share inside secrets all night long.

Making up a total of 17% of the population, the Fun Freedoms have some pretty interesting people in their camp, proving that it is a great type to be.
