Beer and Condiments, Mmmm …
Use a drink carrier as a condiment kit. At first glance, I thought this Real Simple idea was rather clever. And it is.
Cart condiments to a backyard barbecue. Slot flatware, ketchup and mustard in the compartments for easy transport.
It’s just that there could be a minor problem with the tip if certain personality types think there is utility in keeping ALL cardboard 6 packs. Oh and another key ingredient to making this work that many personality types might miss.
This tip is an ingenious on the fly “use what the beer for the party came in” to transport utensils to the backyard. That is IF you don’t already own a wicker or wooden version for said purpose. The problem is when certain personality types — Classics (SJ) — stop treating it as an impromptu solution and make it permanent and start keeping their cardboard 6-packs folded up between their countertop and their fridge for that just in case moment.
Classic Structures (STJ) might start keeping their 6 pack cases for this purpose right next to every single plastic grocery bag they keep to reuse. If I ever get to design a kitchen in my lifetime, I’m going to insist that there are NO spaces between any piece of kitchen furniture or cabinet to prevent my husband — or anyone — from shoving things in that type of a space.
Then there are those personality types who have inner guilt about trashing or recycling sturdy or potentially useful packaging — Organics (NF). I think Organic Structures (NFJ) are most likely to keep them because their structure part makes them a bit more practical than their Organic Freedom (NFP) counterparts. But, I think Organics more than Classics would do well to only keep a really cute or attractive 6-pack. The worst offenders would like be older male Classic Structures (STJ) who might keep a 6-pack of Coors Light for said purpose. No. Just, no. If you even think that’s okay to do then you’re forbidden from ever doing this tip in the first place. It has to be a cute micro-brew or niche pop 6-pack.
In addition, if you study the picture — this is for all of the Classic Structures (STJ), Organics (NF) and Smarts (NT) out there, the reason this works and looks so cute is the cutlery and napkins coordinate WITH the 6-pack container. It would not look as cute if you’re using leftover American flag napkins with orange plastic cutlery. Trust me. As for Funs (SP), I think you’d be able to do this tip right but I’m not 100% sure so now you know.
