Classic SkyMall
When I flipped though SkyMall for this week’s tips, I noticed that almost all of my picks were medical devices. Although I’d like to think this is just the Classic practical trait, it’s more likely due to my constantly stiff neck and shoulders. I edited my picks so they might appeal to people with loose shoulders. First up, The Always Cool Pillow.
Two words: NASA fabric. How can you go wrong with NASA space fabric?? The Always Cool Pillow. “It uses fabric developed for NASA to help astronauts adapt to extreme temperature fluctuations. It absorbs ecess heat from you when you’re hot, ensuring a comfortable pilow tmperature every time you use it.”3 sizes. Standard, Queen, Kind. $70-90.
I HATE falling asleep on a plane and accidentally waking up because my head’s flopped on to a strangers or having my head bob forward and I wake up. The next pick looks like it will solve these problems forever as long as I don’t mind looking like a freak show on an airplane. The SkyRest. “… Here’s what the travel experts and press are saying about SkyRest:
- Dailycandy.com “The miraculous, wedge-shaped travel pillow makes even the most uncomfortable spots downright pleasant.”
- Dallas Morning News “But you can be…more comfortable with a SkyRest pillow…Simply lean forward and snooze, and the miles will fly by.”
- SkyRest has also been featured by USA Today, Peter Greenberg, and the Early Show on CBS.
It hasn’t been featured on the Today Show yet but hey, it’s been on the Dallas Freaking Morning News! $30
The next pick was from my Classic husband. The Bedtime Reader’s Nightstand. “This nightstand’s six open shelves keep your bedtime reading material organized and easily accessible.” It’s probably better than stacking magazines on top of one’s alarm clock as my husband is wont to do. $200. Make sure it matches your bedroom décor.
Finally, medical devices. I narrowed it down to the best. But I seriously had like 10 picks that involved neck or back relief and then the hand held acupuncture machine actually caught my eye. Yes, I am ashamed to admit that I read the entire description of it. But, I decided the Massage XP showed the most promise of relief: “…This FDA-approved device uses bio-electric impulses to increase endorphin production, which are the body’s natural pain killers. By stimulating your muscles with tapping, kneading and grabbing sensations, this massage device melts away your aches, pains and nagging soreness.” $130.
