Date Night Apps

Deciding what to do on a night out can sometimes be harder than finding the time for one. Now with apps like Open Table, Urbanspoon, and Flixster — dinner and a movie has never been easier. 

Not only does the Open Table app use GPS to find restaurants close to you, you can even use it to make reservations! If you want to get some grub in another part of town you can pick from a list of neighborhoods, pick a time you want reservations for and this app will bring up all restaurants with open slots.

Like playing slots? Then Urbanspoon is for you! Set up like a slot machine, you can give your phone a little shake and it tumbles through price, neighborhood and type of food, settling in on a random option. If you want to narrow down the search a little you can lock in a type of food, neighborhood, or price range.  

For the after dinner movie, look no further than Flixster. This app also uses GPS to find theaters closest to you or you can pick a movie and find where it is playing. Not only can you check out showtimes but you can watch trailers, read reviews and see if the movie is worth seeing at all.
