Fun Fashion, Zappos Style
Oh Funs. These Pixie Types tend towards funky, bright colors, as well as active, comfortable clothing with maybe something a little bit different thrown in. They are also careful with their money, but that doesn’t mean they won’t spend on quality or on something they truly love. So we add this information about Funs to Zappos’ line up of personality types and it translates into a dash of Boho, which seems to us to be more a fashion trend than a personality type, a little bit of Hipster, a lot of Fashionista, which you see pictured left and then — and yes I think this is the worst personality type description — a good amount of Modern Mountain Woman.
I know, Modern Mountain Woman? Who the hell wants that description? But you guys are active, fun people! You ARE the type most likely to be doing stuff outside in the great outdoors than stuck in a gym, especially if you’re extroverted. At least you hope to be. And this kind of active wear isn’t so preppy or stuffy. It’s comfy as hell and when you’re maybe not in the office anymore, you might start to use it your everyday life. I think our stylist friend might counsel against this, but I’m not really sure. I look at the “Mountain” outfit below and don’t see what’s wrong with it for being out and about. Maybe this will spur her to comment.
BUT, and this is a big but — you get all the other cool personality types in the Zappos world. Mostly because Zappos’ personalities ARE trends, not actual personality types. As we’ve said before, you are drawn towards fun and funky, and Boho, Hipster and Fashionista definitely have this. In general, Zappos’ store of clothes has TOO MANY teenager outfits, but what are you going to do? Well for starters, tone down the teen and bring up the funk. Boho and Hipster are good for casual and Fashionista is good for dress-up. And only let the Modern Mountain Woman roar when you’re running errands, at the gym or on a friggin mountain. You can also dabble in Mom-on-the-Go and All-American and you will be in good stead.
