Give Your Floor a Break!

Get your shoes off the floor!! They have a tendency to pile up, collect dust and disappear into the darkness. We recommend the canvas shoe bag from Container Store. Now, I must admit that shoe bags are not the most ideal solution for Smarts and Organics. It’s annoying to have to shove them into those little holes and they’re harder to see. That’s why we say you types should do what you can to have the shelves (much easier to see things and put those shoes back.) And if you don’t have the structure for it, try a sweater bag. This can also work for your clunkier tennis shoes and boots.

And for you lazy Organic Freedoms and Smart Freedoms, we bet you already just take your shoes off wherever you decide you’re done with them, (because that’s what me and my husband do) but if you’re like my brother and live with a fastidious Fun, there should be just enough room at the bottom of a double hang closet to have one row of the shoes you wear every day, with only the fronts of the shoes fitting underneath the clothes (i.e., No shoes hidden in the back or you’ll forget about them.)
