Hamper Bandits

Dear Katie & Kelly: My spouse constantly puts her clothes ON TOP of the hamper … as in she doesn’t open the hamper lid but puts it on top. Any ideas?

Dear Stymied: Hells to bells, yes, we have an idea. REMOVE THE HAMPER’S LID. It doesn’t matter what your personality type is, hamper lids are one extra step that technically don’t need to exist or serve much of a purpose other than aesthetics. As always before changing anything, ask her why she puts her clothes on top of the lid. Sometimes it’s laziness/efficiency — our assumption — but often it’s entirely something else. Never assume with organization.
