Pixies spent the weekend in Pennsylvania, finally joining the Queen Fairy and her brother Jay for a Memorial Day visit to the cemetery in Greenville where our grandparents and their siblings are buried for gathering and flower planting. We were joined for the first time with almost all of John and Dorothy Breckenridge’s descendents and we made a large and joyous party as we wound our way through Greenville and her close environs over the weekend for a wonderful reunion, despite the dreary Red Roof Inn in Hermitage.

What’s wonderful about this family is that the lame hotel only served to bond us closer together, and we still made more memories, and visited the old, with, get this, a video of us all watching a slide show — which was something we often did when we gathered together on 263 Clinton Street. (And yes, we took video of us watching the video of use watching the slide show. It’s a Breck thing.) When I’m feeling down, I only have to think about this special family and know that I am loved and cherished in San Francisco, Alabama, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Maryland, and New York City and I am instantly buoyed with love and gratitude. We missed you Stephen, and so glad to have Ross, Preston and Gina join us for their first big clan gathering. It’s a special bunch.
