How to Clean a Copper Pot the Right Way
I have always liked the look of copper pots, but knowing myself and my type, Organic Freedom, well I have never even thought to want them because I know they require a lot of upkeep. And upkeep is not something I’ll be doing just to have a row of pretty copper pots hanging from my ceiling. And if you don’t have them hanging in your kitchen then what’s the point of having them?
Apparently the point is that copper conducts heat evenly throughout the pan, so it’s a chef’s favorite, but sometimes apparently the copper can make grey streaks with eggs and you essentially are eating the copper? Regardless, here’s a good guide to how all the different metals work and what you will need in your kitchen to cook and clean the way you want to. In our house what’s most important is, “Can the pot be put in the dishwasher?” If not, then said pot is not worth it for us, a household headed by an Organic Freedom and Smart Freedom. I doubt Organic Structures or Smart Structures would bother with them either, but if they grew up with them and knew how superior they were, they would take the time. Same with Funs and of course, Classics.
So you want to go copper? Then make sure to clean them the right way. My Classic sister Kelly knows how and it’s with this British version of Brasso. Do not be fooled by American imitators. It’s not the same. Buy it here.
