While we didn’t love Martha for her gift ideas, she certainly wasn’t the worst, and she’s got some killer craft ideas for the Classics and Funs who have time on their hands this Thanksgiving week.

While Kelly and I love to scope out all the decorating ideas we can employ for the Christmas season that will quickly descend after this week, our favorite ideas this month in Martha were her Hanukkah crafts. Now as an Organic Freedom I find MOST of Martha’s crafts to be quite daunting — well, except for the fall leaves spray mounted onto old vases, which was pretty easy.

But while she has some difficult ones — handmade menorah and hand stamped table runner — she also has some easy ones that involve cutting paper, which will create star and dreidel cards, and Stars of David you can hang in your window. Those crafts would be the ones for Organic Freedoms, Funs and Smart Freedoms to attempt the week before Hanukkah!

Martha also has some ridiculously complicated Christmas light crafts, for example a faux mistletoe chandelier, but she also has found very cool and inexpensive icicle lights, not like the ones that have been around forever, LED Icicle Drops, that I am buying for the bookshelf in my living room. Hmmm, maybe even the windows too.

P.S. Kelly says Martha has cool gift tag ideas. Spray mounting ribbon to card stock and then trimming the ends in a v-shape. Brilliantly easy gift tag idea that any Classic, Organic Structure, or Smart Structure (female that is) could easily master.
