Smart Style Just Needs a Few Trends
When it comes to Smarts (NTs) and fashion, they usually gravitate towards Classic (SJ) style. They will rely on quality sweater sets and suits, pumps and driving mocs, preppy and basic. We wager that often it’s hard to tell the Smarts from the Classics when it comes to style. Logically, why would you bother spending too much time thinking about what to wear when it’s been done before by others and so much better than you could do on your own?
It usually means Smarts have a quality wardrobe that has lasted a long time and is therefore a little dated. Real Simple sees them as “Minimalists”:
“There are still plenty of clean lines and graphic shapes here to keep a less-is-more fanatic happy. Yet the tactile quality of these sleek and simple silhouettes gives the outfit new depth. Note the tweedy zigzag overlay on the bottom half of the dress, the blocky necklace, and the contrasting bangles (one matte, one shiny.)”
The outfit has a lot of trends — oxford pumps, chunky jewelry, funky skirt — but in the end it’s still a classic sleeveless sheath dress you can see Jackie O wearing, and it’s a simple black and white design. To me this screams Smart style updated with today’s biggest trends.
