There’s a Fire on Your Wall

The wall-mounted Chelsea Unless you’ve lived in New York City for a large swath of your adult life, you can’t possibly have a true, desperate appreciation for the beauty of a fire in a fireplace. Now there is a solution for city dwellers who love fires and it doesn’t involve exile to the suburbs.

This is another Daily Grommet goody. Now do you get why we had to share this amazing website and some of their finds? Anywhere Fireplaces sells six different units. The apartment ones, Chelsea & SoHo, are wall-mounted. Daily Grommet said it took them 15 minutes to install, but they’re not likely my husband so I’d say if you’re not that handy, but you think you are, then give yourself 30 minutes and actually READ the directions. Think about things like curtains when hanging and realize it’s not a great idea to put it on a wood wall. The free standing Gramercy

Then there’s the free standing ones, Gramercy, Metropolitan, Empire, and Tribeca.  They can go inside or outside where they can double as one of those cool outdoor firepits without all of the hassle of eventually cleaning out said firepit. All burn a bio-ethanol liquid fuel so literally no clean-up, smoke, gas, soot or ash. One liter lasts about 5 hours.
