When I first went through Habitualy Chic’s dream closet blog, I wasn’t sure which ones would please a Smart. But then, after letting the images masticate in my head for a bit, I found a few that came across as visually pleasing and attractive while simultaneously emoting logic and order.

This closet is Rory Tahari’s and it struck me as somewhat monochrome with the exception of the green purse on that top shelf. At first I didn’t know whether this would be the trait of a practical Classic or a genius idea of a busy Smart who wants to look fantastic without having to waste time. My hunch was on the latter, but, it COULD also be a practical Classic who has used a personal shopper at Saks Fifth Avenue and has severely weeded out her closet.

But, I can’t say that I think Ms. Tahari’s closet would be a Smart Freedom’s dream closet because it’s probably TOO structured or minimalist. There are quite a few very creative Smart Freedom’s out there. Katie thought the closet of Jenna Lyons’ — J Crew’s Creative Director responsible for turning around the brand — could be a Smart Freedom’s. (See photo on the right.) It’s structured with a creative flair, visual without seeming jumbled. I mean we all know the pile of shoes was for effect and not how she keeps things. It seems a little too barren to be an Organic Freedom’s dream closet.

I do think Organic Structures might dig this set-up too, especially if there was a cool story about how they got their antelope head! Remember? You moved into your new house and discovered that the attic was full of treasures from around the world. You sold them all on Ebay but just couldn’t part with Jack the Impala Antelope. Remember? Wait, is that an Impala Antelope?
